Zimlet configuration

Introduction

To configure ZI-Access zimlet, please open Administration Console > Tools and migration > ZI-Access

ZI-Access consistconsists of following display panes:

  • Intalio ZI-LicenseSystem - displays license informations,informations
  • Intalio ZI-LicenseSystem Zimlet - displaydisplays information about licensed zimlets
  • Global config - configuration that is applied for all of the domains for which ZI-Access module is activated (Module activation: YES)
  • Configuration - main panel of the zimlet where you set per domain configuration
  • Status - statushere informationyou will see configuration version number (and when it was saved) for the selected domain on each mailbox server (it should be the same version on all of the zimlet configurationthem)

Configuration

To configure ZI-Access, all we have to do is to fill out the form in Configuration Panel. The fields on the Configuration Panel have the following meaning:

  • Domain - writetype in a domain name that ZI-Access Access has to be configured for
  • Status - indicates wherever ZI-Access is enabled for athe domain
  • Modul activation - choose YesYES or NoNO to enable or disable ZI-Access for athe selected domain
  • Local IP Definition - this field must be filled out, it isit's a list of IPs in regex form that describedetermine localwhich IPs.IPs are considered "local"
    For example list: (10.193.\d{1,3}.\d{1,3})|(10.194.\d{1,3}.\d{1,3}) means that IPs from 10.193.*.* or 10.194.*.* IP addresses will be treated as "local" IPslocal IPs.
    AccordingDepending on the default policy IPsIP addresses from the list will be accessedallowed or blocked.not allowed to access
  • The chosen method of authenticationauthorization  - choose method of authenticationauthorization configured in the domain (Internal, AD or LDAP)
  • Fallback - setenable onlythis whenoption Externalif you have AD or LDAP isexternal choosenauthorization and you want to use Fallback to Local
  • Method - default policy: Allowed or Not Allowed.Allowed
  • Add COS - writetype in a COS name you want to grant access (if Method Allowed)set to Allowed) or block access (if Method set to Not Allowed) members of this COSAllowed)
  • Add account -  account name you want to grant access (if Method Allowed)set to Allowed) or block access (if Method set to Not Allowed)Allowed)

After filling out the form clickswithc Modul activation >to YES and Save.then click Save (in the top right corner).

If you use External Authentication (like LDAP or Active Directory) you have to turn off Fallback to Local on your domains
zmprov md contoso.com zimbraAuthFallbackToLocal FALSE
and use Fallback checkbox in the ZI-Access settings if you want to.
